New boilers
Time to upgrade your boiler?
There are a few common signs to look out for that may mean it’s time to upgrade to a new boiler. You might find that your radiators take longer than usual to heat up. You may also notice a leak, or unusual noises coming from your boiler. If your energy bills have increased without warning, this could be another sign that your boiler isn’t working as it should.
If you need a new boiler, trust the team at JS Gas & Plumbing to supply and install a modern new boiler that will last for many years to come. We can install combi, system and regular boilers from leading manufacturers and can recommend the best option for your home based on the size of your property and how you use your boiler.
Boiler types explained
Combi boilers are ideal for smaller homes where you don’t have space for a hot water storage cylinder or a cold water storage tank in the loft.
System boilers suit homes with two or more bathrooms. Although they require a hot water cylinder, they don’t take up any loft space. During busy mornings, system boilers allow you to run multiple showers at once, meaning no more arguments over who showers first. Some of the main components of the heating system are built into the boiler, making it quick and easy to install too.
Regular boilers require both a hot water cylinder and water storage tank in the loft. They suit properties with low water pressure or many old radiators, as well as homes where a lot of water is used at once.
